today morning i looked out of the window and it was snowing...
fluffly white freezing snow flake.

so i guess the autumn art piece that i submitted yesterday is already outdated.
a winter angel might fit better.
i also have an unfinished summer & spring image on my computer which i did not complete on time. next year then.
overall there are over 30 unfinished art works on backup cds.

it's time to update my journal...

i'm in Vienna again for over a week now. working in Abu Dhabi was great. there was always a lot to do at the Austrian Embassy / commercial section, but it was also lots of fun.

right now i am in a christmas mood (already). must be the cold weather here. at least it feels rather cold since it was about 25°C warmer in the United Arab Emirates.
Dubai changes so quickly. it is insane what they are building there... very futuristic, and beautiful too. i should upload some photos soon.
When i got back to Vienna again i noticed how lovely the city is, especially all of the old buildings and churches. it seems like i didn't really pay attention to it anymore after living there for some time. but the Emirates and Austria are just 2 different worlds. i somehow feel at home in both countries.

i have not been very active on deviantart for a while. but i submitted a calendar yesterday. the one from last year is also for sale as a 2008 calendar. and i am working on a bright & happy one too.


my messages have piled up (over 3000 messages!! wow), not because i'm popular but because i am so slow at replying...
most of them are favs. there are even some crazy people that +fav about 20 of my images in a few minutes. it makes me happy when someone likes my art.
and thank you for all of the wonderful comments too. i really appreciate them.

i know that i am a little late, but i just wanted to say how great it is that deviantart supports the weekend to end breast cancer. (if you haven't already, please take a look at moonbeam13's journal or this news article: news.deviantart.com/article/33… )
my aunt has breast cancer, hopefully she will be alright soon.

I arrived at Dubai Airport yesterday and drove to Abu Dhabi afterwards with a rented car (the traffic is crazy). The car that i reserved was not available for some reason, only a more expensive one. So i got this temporary car right now and will be able to pick up the one that i reserved in Abu Dhabi today as soon as the rental company calls me. Since they'll call the home number i have to stay in the flat today and wait.
Meanwhile i decided to write some emails and check my deviantart messages after that. And look what i discovered:
